To celebrate 60 years of existence, W.SCHILLIG has introduced an innovative leather honouring 6 decades of experience. The new Longlife-Leather “Z 60 Anilux” features properties similar to a soft and supple Aniline leather, yet, it is easy to clean and is an incredible value. Its special Longlife finish guarantees suburb surface protection with optimal easy-care properties and high colour fastness. As the name promises, “Z 60 Anilux” has a combination of Aniline soft texture and high quality appearance at an attractive anniversary price. We call it “affordable luxury” emphasizes company manager Erik Stammberger, the inspiration behind this exclusive anniversary leather.
Innovation and individuality
W.SCHILLIG built its reputation as one of the main initiators of the Longlife-Leather-Club and through its own research and development. One can choose from over ten different types of leather in 150 colours. Now with “Z 60 Anilux” the company’s goal is to receive continued recognition as market leader and trendsetter through innovation and individuality.
'Our goal is to fulfil the specific living desires of our customers and increase their quality of life through superb comfort, first class workmanship and timeless designs,' exclaims Erik Stammberger. As a family member, he knows the special responsibilities of the traditional company that once started as a small basketry founded by his grandparents in 1949, and has grown in the last six decades to its present size.
Family Tradition
W.SCHILLIG is remarkable in many aspects. To this day, the company is still a family owned business and is already in the third generation. 'Values such as honesty and reliability, as well as the feeling for good quality, were laid in our paths' says Erik Stammberger with a smile on his face, who recently became a proud father to his first son and heir. The challenge is to continue to manage innovatively and 'comfortably,' and invest at the right time and further steer the financially strong company on a long-term basis. 'We always have our sustainable results and the existence of our company in view' explains the company manager. The Schillig and Stammberger families identify themselves by their German heritage and are proud to occupy almost 700 employees in their Upper Franconian headquarters. It’s the family’s priority to continue to guarantee the highly qualified local employees positions in the future.
World of Comfort
W.SCHILLIG belongs to one of the branch’s Global divisions, and is the largest upholstery furniture producer in Europe. With almost 1.400 employees in four locations, the Schillig and Stammberger family factories produce up to 2.000 sets a week. Almost 2 million square meters of leather and 200.000 meters of fabric are processed yearly. Approximately 40 % of production is exported, of which 15% from overseas. Apart from the 4.000 square meter showroom at headquarters, and a division in United States, over 300 studios in Europe present the newest trends from the 'W.SCHILLIG – World of Comfort' collection.
Genuine passion
'We love leather – with every single wrinkle!' Erik Stammberger laughs. Just as unique as every person is, so is leather – gaining maturity and character as years go by. 'Every sofa has unmistakable features making it unique,' he says. Mr. Stammberger is pleased that the anniversary’s soft and supple innovation has had a successful start:
