Cleaning Instructions
Always remove liquids and dirt immediately with an absorbent cloth. For items such as ketchup or mustard, use a flat, blunt object to gently scrape excess from the fabric surface. You do not need to rub or brush the surface.
1. Apply solution of (3) parts distilled water & (1) part mild detergent directly onto the stain and onto the cloth. Gently rub the affected area in a circular motion using light pressure, starting from the outside edge of the stain and moving inward, continuously moving to a clean portion of the cloth as it lifts the stain.
2. Allow the fabric thirty to forty minutes to dry (air dry only; never use a hair dryer to 'help' dry the fabric). Do not use the upholstery while damp, as the fabric may stretch when wet.
3. Once dry, it may be necessary to brush the fabric gently against the nap before using again. For this, a simple, unused shoe polish brush works perfectly.
For general cleaning, vacuum Honeybee with the upholstery attachment to remove dust. Never place vacuum directly on Honeybee, as the spinning brushes may damage the fabric, and will void any warranty.
Important Instructions
While this incredible fabric is quite impervious to the evils of everyday life, items such as permanent marker and dyes from non-colorfast clothing, such as blue jeans, can penetrate the fabric and absorb into the fibers. This is not a defect and is not acceptable as a claim. Also not covered by the standard W.SCHILLIG warranty is damage caused by improper use, such as cigarette and other burns, damage caused by adhesives and other chemicals, damage caused by improper use of vacuum cleaners, use of steam cleaners, or application of additional stain and/or liquid repellents. Avoid direct sunlight, heating and cooling air ducts. Commercial/contract applications also void any warranty of the Honeybee fabric.
